Kansas
City proudly calls itself the "Heart
of America." This part of the United States is known for
its friendly people, strong family values, and good schools. Our AFS organization
wants to make sure that our students have a year which everything hoped
for.
AFS
has
a strong, supportive program in Kansas City and the surrounding
communities. Each year the area hosts between 75 and 85 AFS students at
over 30 different high schools. AFS students don't happen by accident.
They are chosen from the hundreds of applications that come into the United
States from all over the world. AFS Kansas City picks students
because we think the Kansas City area will be a good place for him or
her, and because we would like to have that student here.
Again,
welcome, and please look around our website, and become familiar with
Kansas City. Learn a little about our city,
view our map of Kansas City, and
learn what it is like to be a part of AFS.
We
are currently looking for host families for next year. If you are interested
